Course Overview
This course gives students an introduction to internet safety. It covers phishing, malware, how to safely connect with others online and hacking. Students will learn what to be aware of in order to stay safe online as well as understanding what to do if they experience online dangers. This course gives students the opportunity to practice their decision making skills by deciphering what is and isn’t an online danger and responding to online dangers with appropriate actions. At the end of this course, students should feel confident browsing online and interacting with others online in a safe manner.

Meet Course Creator, Kerry Wadsley
Following a degree in Elementary Education at Penn State (USA), I taught at The Elms School, UK for over 10 years, teaching students from 0-11 years. I taught in Key Stage 2 as well as being the Special Educational Needs Coordinator at the school. In 2016, I gained a Master’s in Education from the University of Nottingham (UK). My passion lies in helping students to achieve their potential and eliminating any barriers to learning. I now run my own business as an Educational Consultant, creating curriculum for schools and educational companies around the world. As a former Division I lacrosse player at Penn State (USA), I love exercise and sports and have taught Physical Education in schools for over 10 years. I love being a part of a team and working towards a common goal.
