Responsible Digital Citizenship
Responsible Digital Citizenship
It is super important to be a responsible digital citizen. We must treat others online with kindness and respect, just like in real life.
It is also important to protect ourselves online. Only chat with people you trust. Never share personal information like your phone number, address, or passwords. Always get permission before sharing information about others. And remember that everything you post online is permanent.
When you see something online you think is bullying, report it. On most platforms, reporting is quick and easy to do. The platform might decide to take action by sending a warning, deleting the post or comment, or removing the account. Reporting is anonymous, so the person won’t know you’ve reported them.
You should also tell a trusted adult like your parents, a counselor, or a teacher. Reporting digital bullying and supporting our friends makes us digital heroes.
