Course Overview

In our 'Ethical Decision Making' course, students will learn how to discern between good and bad choices, developing a strong moral compass and learning techniques through mindfulness to make decision making a breeze. Learners will travel through stories of real life scenarios and work through the best possible outcome. Using kindness, responsibility, trustworthiness, and respect you will be able to solve any problems you face.

Introduction to ethical decision making

In this section, you will go on a journey of real life scenarios that will continuously remind you that you have options. Four types of positive ethical characteristics will be introduced and will explained during each section.

Traffic Light Theory

This section will use a technique called the traffic light theory. This will teach you how to gauge situations on how safe they are or what the possible outcome could come from the choices you make, as well as regulating your emotions. A calm mind makes good choices.

Social Awareness in making diverse choices

In this section you will plunge into the topic of making diverse choices. Giving lessons based on integrity, responsibility, self-discipline, and accountability. Learning to gauge consequences and still remain loyal to your friends.

Stand up for the underdog

In this section, you will dive into the concept of loyalty and integrity. Learning how to use the golden rule, emotional regulation, and respect toward others. This will gain accountability and trust toward the people around you and help the ones who need it. At the end of this section and course, you should be a master decision maker!

Meet Course Creator, Amber Rondeau

Amber is an enthusiastic teacher from the United States. Amber’s journey started off when she decided to follow in her father's footsteps and go to firefighter school. She joined an academy and became the first paid female firefighter in her community. After that she continued her education and became an Emergency Medical Technician, spending five years working on an ambulance. During that time she decided to continue her education and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Sociology.
